Reason: Volta DC engineers identified an electrical joint on Rising Bus Bar C1 via thermal imaging that requires a shutdown of the rising bus for a thorough examination. This is being undertaken as a precautionary measure to ensure that no customer will be affected by unplanned electrical shutdowns should the joint overheat and fail at a later stage.

All power works at our Volta Data Centre have been completed without incident and the services there are no longer At Risk.

Date: Saturday 26th February 2022 Time: 09:00 - 16:00 Reason: Volta DC engineers identified an electrical joint on Rising Bus Bar C1 via thermal imaging that requires a shutdown of the rising bus for a thorough examination. This is being undertaken as a precautionary measure to ensure that no customer will be affected by unplanned electrical shutdowns should the joint overheat and fail at a later stage. Voiceflex racks at Volta have dual power feeds installed so this is purely an 'at risk' notification while engineers will be working on the affected power feeds in and around our racks. During the proposed maintenance window, Voiceflex engineers will monitor all power feeds to the devices at the DC, to ensure any issues that might be experienced are reported to the local teams immediately.
